This Saturday is the opening of the “Art Skills and Pinup Thrills” exhibit at the Gray Wall Gallery, and Pinup Jane is excited to announce the unveiling of three first edition prints on display from our secret “Merrie” line! Unlike many of the ad stock images we create for product and promotional use, these three prints are all limited edition, with twenty or fewer prints produced of each photograph. Never before seen, they are all taken from a collaborative photoshoot which took place in the early infancy of Pinup Jane. The three photographs on display this month at the gallery (April Showers, More of Merrie, and How to Merrie the Boss) are part of an exclusive line which was originally never intended for public display. As the concept and portfolio have grown and continue to grow, they are a tribute to the timelessness of pinup art.
As for the exhibit, The show opens October 8th at 6pm and goes until 9pm at Gray Wall Gallery (351 W Pierpont Ave in Salt Lake)
16 different artists working in many different mediums will be presented. From photography(yay!) to pen and ink, to accessories, to furniture made from classic car parts- there will be something for everyone at this show. A hand sewn, hand painted corset donated by McGrew Studios and Mike Fahl will be up for auction during the opening.”
Refreshments provided by local gourmet cookie company RubySnap and Jack Mormon Coffee Co. The after party begins at 9:30pm at the recently opened bar and grill The Devil’s Daughter(533 S 500 W). It will feature burlesque performances and a performance by local cover band The Gamma Rays.
Don’t miss it!
